Job description

UAS Dining Services

Work Schedule: This is an on-call position with a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings. The position involves no more than 29 hours per week and is non-exempt, therefore not eligible for benefits.

Summary: Golden Eagle Dining Services provides hospitality options for California State University Los Angeles. The candidate must adhere to high customer service standards and be proficient in basic customer service functions. The On-Call Banquet Server reports to the Catering and Events Manager.

Duties:
  1. Assist with early morning setup of beverage and food stations on campus.
  2. Stock condiments and paper goods at service stations.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area and coffee stations.
  4. Set up and maintain presentable service tables throughout the day.
  5. Support other catering production tasks as needed.
  6. Dependability is essential; punctuality and readiness are mandatory.

Note: Missing shifts or tardiness may result in termination.

Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Positive attitude and cooperative demeanor with staff, customers, and the campus community.
  • Strong customer service skills and flexibility to schedule changes.
  • Physical ability to walk, talk, hear, lift up to 20 pounds, and work in noisy environments.

Interest or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment is required. A background check is mandatory and must be completed satisfactorily before employment. Failure to pass may affect application or employment status.
