Job summary

Waldensecurity in Florida is seeking on-call security professionals to patrol industrial and commercial properties, deter fires, thefts, vandalism, and unauthorized entry. You must be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and able to travel between Tampa area locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Florida State Security D Unarmed license and Class G Armed license, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos using the English language.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information clearly to customers and employees.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions and handle problems.
• Familiarity with Internet programs and word processing software.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must be 25+ years old and have a driving record with no more than one moving violation.
• Must possess valid Florida State Security D Unarmed License and Class G Armed License.

Responsibilities

• Patrols industrial or commercial properties to deter fire, theft, vandalism, and unlawful entry.
• Travel between locations in the Tampa, St. Petersburg, Largo, Bradenton, and Riverview areas.
• Monitor posts, patrol lobbies and public areas, and report irregularities.
• Respond to alarms and notify authorities when needed.
• Complete investigation and usage reports.
• Assist management in emergency situations.
