Job Description

We are looking to expand our Northern California on-call archaeological team. Work will take place primarily in Northern California, but could include work throughout California, with potential opportunities in the Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. This is a fieldwork position and work need is heavily influenced by the seasonal weather. On occasion, there may be opportunity for office and/or lab-based work.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in identifying and recording areas of archeological potential, archaeological sites, and traditional use sites.
  • Work closely with a Field Director/Supervisor to make technical recommendations for cultural resources management.
  • Collect field data
  • Participate in field reconnaissance surveys (linear and block type)
  • Assist in archaeological impact assessments
  • Excavations
  • Construction Monitoring
Qualifications

  • Able to travel and work away from home

Education and Experience

About the Team

Pay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full‑time and part‑time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short‑term/long‑term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
