Langan is seeking On Call Archaeological/Cultural Resource Technicians in Texas (Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Celina, Dallas) to support environmental and cultural resource project managers in field and desktop tasks.

You'll work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, gain hands-on field experience, and contribute to projects across regulatory programs. Langan offers growth opportunities and a collaborative, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or related field; HS diploma considered for some tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft, Adobe, Nuance, Word, SharePoint.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; strong written/verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Pedestrian survey.
• Background research at historical societies, museums, and repositories.
• Resource recordation and documentation.
• Subsurface testing.
• Data recovery excavation.
• Construction monitoring.
• Records searches.
• Laboratory analysis, cataloging and organization.
• Technical writing.
• Maintain field logs and assist with equipment.
