Job summary

Ruby Valley Medical Center is seeking an Ambulance Driver to operate the ambulance safely and assist with patient and equipment movement. This on-call role supports the Ambulance Service and is not on the EMS schedule. Drivers are for transfer purposes unless designated by the on-duty Paramedic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Optional Basic Life Support CPR certification.
• Successful completion of CEVO or EVOC Driver Training program.
• Must obtain and maintain applicable license for the area of operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and equipment to safely transport patients and equipment.
• Use maps and IamResponding to locate facilities and response sites.
• Assist Paramedic with documenting Trip Time and Odometer.
• Complete daily time sheets and maintain vehicle checks.
• Maintain ambulance and report any mechanical problems.
• Communicate with dispatch using proper radio etiquette and coordinate with other agencies.
• Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA regulations.
