Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. seeks a Master Control Operator to oversee the station’s on-air presentation within a centralized broadcast hub. You will manage programming and scheduled breaks, ensuring accurate logs and high-quality signal transmission across the network.

The role requires technical know-how and the ability to respond quickly to issues. You will update and maintain signal control systems, monitor incoming/outgoing signals, and perform necessary repairs or maintenance.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in digital electronics or broadcasting.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum three years’ experience with digital electronics systems in a TV broadcasting environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate master control to maintain the on-air look and program breaks, in a centralized hub.
• Update and maintain signal control systems and programming logs.
• Segment content, trim, and manage clips for server delivery; print and append logs.
• Monitor signal quality and adjust equipment to ensure reliable broadcasts.
• Select sources for programming reception and transmission; report and expedite equipment repairs.
• Perform emergency repairs and ensure compliance with Emergency Alert System requirements.
