Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Communications or Broadcast Journalism
• Certifications none required

Responsibilities

• Deliver newscasts and announce playlist, weather and sports updates
• Comment on music and interview personalities and listeners
• Specialize in a music format (e.g., pop, rock, country)
• Write, review and edit news copy and promos
• Participate in promotional events and on-air promotions
• Operate control board and remote programming if needed
• Sell advertising space to clients when required
• Manage program timing and monitor syndicated content
• Ensure on-air quality; censor inappropriate content
• Address equipment issues with engineering
