Job summary

TABACALERA USA Inc. is seeking a Commerce Architect to define and govern the technology architecture enabling digital commerce, retail, B2B and omnichannel capabilities across eCommerce, customer engagement, payments, loyalty, ERP, data and security.

This hands-on role focuses on practical designs, validating approaches, and ensuring implementation choices meet enterprise standards, security, and measurable outcomes while working with delivery teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in enterprise apps, digital commerce, or solution architecture.
• Strong knowledge of composable, API-first, cloud/SaaS architectures.
• Experience integrating commerce with ERP, CRM, POS, payments, loyalty.
• Ability to translate business needs into secure, scalable tech solutions.
• Experience working with implementation partners and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication to explain complex concepts to technical/business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern target-state commerce architecture and roadmaps.
• Translate requirements into end-to-end designs across apps and data.
• Serve as technical design authority and resolve cross-platform conflicts.
• Set performance, scalability, security, and recovery requirements.
• Align platforms by defining ownership, integration patterns, and data flows.
• Ensure designs support product, pricing, inventory, orders, payments, loyalty, and service.
• Oversee data migration architecture and data quality across domains.
• Define acceptance criteria and guide testing for integration and security.
• Guide deployment and continuous-delivery standards.
• Evaluate platforms and partners for fit and total cost of ownership.
• Hold teams to approved designs and documentation.
• Support cutover, go-live, stabilization, and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure monitoring, logging, and production readiness.
• Measure outcomes in performance, reliability, and customer experience.
