Job summary

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a Manufacturing Associate I, Oligo to join our manufacturing team in San Diego. You will support daily production operations by performing basic production tasks, preparing equipment and materials, executing routine workflows, and maintaining proper documentation under close supervision in ISO-classified spaces.

The role emphasizes learning oligo production technologies, cGMP compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in life science field (Chemistry/Biology preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in a Biochemistry manufacturing laboratory.
• Exposure to a cGMP/ ISO 7/ ISO 8 clean room environment.
• Experience with executing SOPs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily production tasks and follows procedures for material prep, equipment set-up, and routine processes.
• Assists in preparing production areas for cGMP project initiation or changeover.
• Documents production activities with forms, logs, and batch records in GDP-compliant manner.
• Operates and cleans equipment; escalates issues or deviations as needed.
• Supports batch records and SOP revisions under guidance; participates in training.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment by following SOPs and housekeeping.
• Communicates progress and observations to supervisors and senior associates.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing staff and other support groups to ensure workflow alignment.
