Role Overview

Are you competitive and innovative? Join our high-performing Olefins Pyrolysis team, working on world-scale furnace design and sustainability challenges. This role involves collaboration with global teams and may require domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive operational improvements through technical contribution and innovation.
  2. Maintain and expand knowledge of steam cracking furnace technology.
  3. Develop and enhance proprietary furnace technology using data and experience.
  4. Participate in resolving complex technical issues with teams.
  5. Apply safety principles within ExxonMobil facilities.
  6. Assist with unit start-up, troubleshooting, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications

Required:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fired Heater industries.
  • Knowledge of chemical engineering principles applied industrially.
  • 10-20% travel availability.
  • Work location: Spring, TX.

Preferred:

  • Experience in olefins manufacturing or facility design.
  • Knowledge of steam cracking furnace technology and industry tools.
  • Process modeling experience (PRO-II, ASPEN, etc.).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Experience with fired equipment like steam crackers and process heaters.
