Job summary

Apple, Inc. is seeking an experienced OLED Engineer to join our display development team in Sunnyvale. You will evaluate OLED materials and device performance, shaping architectures for next‑generation Apple products.

Responsibilities include defining OLED specifications, investigating failure modes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Travel of 10–15% is expected to vendor sites for reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar with 10 years of industry experience.
• Solid understanding of organic electronic material and device physics.
• Hands-on experience in OLED device stack design, fabrication process, and investigation of OLED display technologies.
• Solid data analysis and basic programming skills in Matlab and Python.

Apple is looking for an experienced, self-motivated OLED Engineer to join our display development team in industry-leading future Apple products! This individual will serve and a key point to enable innovative concepts and architectures for better OLED display opto-electrical performance.

Description

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree 10 years exp in Material Science, (Applied) Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar with 10 years of industry experience.
• Solid understanding of organic electronic material and device physics
• Hands-on experience in OLED device stack design, fabrication process, technical investigation of OLED display technologies.
• Solid data analysis and basic programming skills of Matlab, Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Material Science, (Applied) Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or Master's Degree with 7 years of industry experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
