Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced IAM consultant specializing in Okta to architect and deploy scalable identity solutions across government domains. The role emphasizes authentication, federation, lifecycle management and integration with cloud and on‑premise apps.

You will design adaptive access policies, implement identity governance workflows, and collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, compliant identity operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “public trust”; candidates must receive approved adjudication prior to onboarding.
• US Citizenship is contractually required.
• Minimum FIVE (5) years of experience in identity and access management, with at least THREE (3) years focused on Okta.
• Proven experience architecting and deploying Okta in federated environments with complex trust relationships.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

Our Cybersecurity Consultants are a team of business integrators with extensive consulting and industry experience who help our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy through execution. Responsibilities

• US Citizenship is contractually required.
• Minimum FIVE (5) years of experience in identity and access management, with at least THREE (3) years focused on Okta.
• Proven experience architecting and deploying Okta in federated environments with complex trust relationships.
• Deep understanding of SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, SCIM, and related identity protocols.
• Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Okta APIs, Okta Workflows).
• Experience with Okta Identity Governance.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Knowledge of Okta including features, integrations, and architecture in a full IAM stack.
• Experience configuring user authentication policies and application connections in Okta.
• Experience configuring and managing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) factors for Okta users, including Okta Verify, FIDO tokens, One-Time Passcodes, and RSA tokens.
• Experience troubleshooting Okta user authentication and application issues.
• Broad knowledge of cybersecurity threats and mitigating IT solutions.
• Experience developing cybersecurity policies.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• At least 2 current Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, Administrator, Consultant, Developer).
• Experience supporting Federal IT projects that integrate multiple IAM technologies.
• Additional relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM).

Salary

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
