Job summary

NexTier seeks an Electrical Voltage Technician to support field operations in Pearsall, TX. You will maintain and troubleshoot medium and low voltage systems and control equipment across oilfield installations, performing testing, calibration, and repairs in accordance with safety standards.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent experience and 2–7 years in electrical work, with proficiency in reading schematics, working with test instruments, and coordinating with field teams.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medium and low voltage electronic test instruments and tools.
  • Understanding of hydraulic applications as controlled by electronic components and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/drawings, P&IDs, and other complex diagrams.
  • Knowledge of networking and radio communications.
  • Commitment to promoting safety awareness and following QHSE policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular and scheduled maintenance on hydraulic fracturing equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot medium and low voltage switchgear, breakers, transformers, AC drives, motors, and cables.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using wiring schematics and repair manuals.
  • Test equipment to ensure it meets company standards before field deployment.
  • Document repairs, inspections, and testing for all equipment.
  • Follow safety policies, participate in safety meetings and hazard hunts.
