Job summary

ChampionX is seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Intern to support the regional laboratory team with analytical testing, sample prep, data management, and general lab operations. You will work under chemists and report to the Regional Lab Manager, gaining hands-on exposure to oilfield production chemistry, instrumentation, quality systems, and field sampling activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar.
• Completion of introductory chemistry laboratory coursework.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety practices and chemical handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chemists with routine and non-routine analytical testing activities.
• Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and laboratory materials according to established procedures.
• Support receipt, labeling, logging, and tracking of laboratory samples.
• Perform routine laboratory housekeeping and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Assist with operating laboratory instrumentation under supervision.
• Help collect, organize, and enter analytical data into laboratory databases and reporting systems.
• Support quality assurance and quality control activities by following SOPs and documentation.
• Assist with inventory management, chemical stocking, and supply organization.
• Participate in field sampling activities as needed and under supervision.
