Job summary

ChampionX has immediate and future needs for a Chemical Service Technician in Williston, ND. You will provide routine service support, assist with start-ups, and deliver technical solutions for customer systems in the oilfield sector.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and up to 10% travel; associate degree or trade certification and 2+ years of technical experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• No immigration sponsorship offered.
• Associate’s Degree or Trade School Certification.
• 2 years of technical service or field sales support experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience.
• Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems.
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and ability to learn internal systems.
• History of autonomy and self-motivation; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts to execute planned customer system assurance.
• Assist Sales Representatives with start-ups of new applications in existing and new accounts.
• Provide technical support to customers; identify and resolve pain points and escalate as required.
• Execute chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at assigned accounts.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed and process monitoring equipment.
• Travel up to 10% within assigned sales territory.
