• Keep work area clean and safe, follow procedures in a heavy industrial environment.

About the Role:

U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking an 3rd Shift Oiler & Greaser production employee. The Oiler & Greaser is responsible for lubricating mechanical equipment and machinery and assisting millwrights with the installation and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

Regular and Special Duties:

• Inspects and lubricates all fittings, bearings, gears, pinions, shafts, rollers, etc. at specified lubrication points and in accordance with scheduled frequency.
• Fills and adjusts oil and grease cups.
• Inspects grease fittings and replaces worn or damaged parts.
• Cleans excess grease and oil from machinery and equipment.
• Assists millwrights with the installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition and performs all work in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Job Functions:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb steps and ladders.
• Must be able to bend and stoop repeatedly.
• Must be able to help remove production materials and all other debris in area.
• Responsible for positioning equipment back in proper place.
• Must be able to recognize defective equipment and appropriately report defects to leadership/supervisor.
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Must be able to practice safe work procedures and comply with applicable safety rules and regulations in a heavy industrial environment.
