Job summary

Adams Group is hiring a Tank Farm Operator to join the Operations Team in a hands-on role handling the movement of oils between tanks and to customers. You will oversee inbound/outbound loads, blends, and ensure adherence to quality specifications.

Requires 3–5 years in processing environments, strong knowledge of piping, valves, SCADA, and safety procedures. forklift and yard hostler certs are required or can be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience operating processing equipment in a manufacturing, food processing, oil processing, or industrial environment.
• Ability to read/write/communicate effectively in English for safety, quality and production requirements.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate processing equipment and computerized systems.
• Basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to obtain required forklift and yard hostler certifications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transfer crude and refined oils between storage tanks and blends to meet specs.
• Load/unload oils to/from tanker trucks, railcars, and containers.
• Monitor valve settings and piping to prevent cross-contamination.
• Operate and monitor oil movements using SCADA and manual valves.
• Collect representative samples for QC testing.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safe and accurate processing.
• Complete blends per QA SOPs and production requirements.
• Move ISO and shipping containers using a yard hostler truck.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment with PPE.
