Job summary

Safety-Kleen Systems in Wichita, KS is hiring an Operator - Oil Recycling. The role requires monitoring, instrumentation interpretation, and routine maintenance on recycling equipment. On-the-job training is provided, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years in a production setting, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work rotating days/nights. A forklift background is preferred and adherence to SOPs is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• 1–3 years in a production driven environment required.
• Experience in refinery or chemical processing preferred.
• Must interpret instrumentation.
• Proficiency with computer systems and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor meters, gauges, and control systems for oil recycling/processing equipment.
• Read instrumentation to track performance and identify abnormalities.
• Inspect equipment for abnormalities and report issues.
• Operate per SOPs and complete on-the-job training.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs with hand tools.
• Document preventative maintenance and equipment cleanings.
• Maintain logs per regulatory requirements.
• Track PPE inventory for availability/compliance.
• Complete monthly training modules on schedule.
• Attend Health & Safety tailgate meetings and trainings.
