Job summary

Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. in Hawaii seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform critical quality-control testing on crude oils, process streams, blends, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications. You will report to the Laboratory Manager and support safe, reliable operations in our Kapolei facility.

You will maintain equipment, record results in LIMS, prepare reagents, and comply with EH&S standards while collaborating with chemists and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• College degree in Chemistry or related sciences preferred
• Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret data; prepare written communications and reports
• Good computer skills; TWIC eligibility and compliance awareness

Responsibilities

• Perform quality-control tests on crude oils, process streams, products to ensure specifications are met
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment; ensure optimum operating conditions
• Prepare solvents, solutions and glassware for testing
• Enter results into LIMS and maintain accurate records
• Maintain samples and retention system; manage inventory of consumables
• Operate refinery vehicle to transport samples within the facility
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
• Collaborate with lab chemists and cross-functional teams
• Perform additional duties as needed
