Location: Houston-based firm (Remote)
Experience Required: 2+ Years
Position Type: Full-Time | Fully Remote
Billable Range: 1500–2000 hours (flexible, set by attorney)
Salary: DOE + Bonus Based on Billable Performance
A prominent mid-size Houston-based law firm is hiring a Transactional Oil & Gas Attorney to support its upstream energy clients. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for attorneys with hands-on transactional experience in the energy and natural resources sector.
What You'll Do:
Draft and negotiate JOAs, PSAs, and related agreements
Provide legal support to E&P companies’ land departments
Advise clients on deal structuring, title diligence, and closing mechanics
Engage directly with clients in the upstream oil & gas industry
Ideal Candidate:
2+ years of relevant oil & gas transactional experience
Prior experience in a Big Law firm or in-house legal or land department preferred
Comfortable with all core upstream transactional documents
Strong communication and drafting skills
Compensation & Perks:
Salary based on experience and chosen billable target (1500–2000 hours)
Bonus potential for exceeding billable goal
