Company/Position Overview
Our client, a downtown Denver law firm, is seeking an Oil and Gas Title Analyst to join their Land, Siting, and Title practice group. They are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support 4 attorneys with title curative work in the oil and gas sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex mineral title opinions and legal research in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proofread and format mineral title opinions
- Create ownership tabulations based on recorded instruments such as deeds and leases
- Prepare and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets for title research and ownership tracking
- Research and obtain recorded documentsAssist attorneys with various tasks related to title curative
- Review, file, and follow up on client correspondence
- Research case law or statutes related to title matters
Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant experience working in oil and gas, title insurance, or a law firm (oil & gas)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to take direction and work independently are critical
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of land descriptions
- Knowledge of real property, oil and gas, and legal terminology
- Knowledge of oil and gas lease provisions
