Job summary

Permian Resources is seeking a Revenue Compliance Lead to oversee timely processing, filing and payment of state and federal royalties and taxes for Texas and New Mexico, with emphasis on accurate accounting and regulatory compliance.

The role collaborates with auditors and consultants, leads state audits when needed, maintains SOX controls, and supports monthly close, ensuring correct deductions and exemptions across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience.
• 4-5 years of oil and gas revenue accounting experience, with severance tax and royalty reporting preferred.
• Experience with Quorum accounting software is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Process, file, and pay state and federal royalties and severance taxes.
• Stay current with TXOGA/NMOGA and communicate changes impacting the business.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for royalties and tax accounts.
• Lead audits with auditors and consultants, responding to findings promptly.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and support special projects.
