Job summary

Wood PLC in Houston, TX seeks a Project Quality Lead to promote quality culture and ensure adherence to Wood standards across project execution. You will lead QA/QC activities, develop PQP documentation, and review supplier welds, NDE and coating procedures to mitigate risk.

The role requires extensive Oil & Gas experience, ISO 9001 and API Q1 knowledge, and strong stakeholder engagement skills across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of quality experience in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, API Q1 and API specs.
• 5+ years in equipment manufacturing for Oil & Gas.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, SharePoint, Visio and related tools.
• Experience with internal/external audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive Quality culture across the project team.
• Lead QA/QC activities to meet project requirements and targets.
• Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans (PQP).
• Maintain quality templates, flowcharts, work instructions and docs.
• Review and approve key deliverables (SOW, POQR/SDRL, Criticality).
• Comment on supplier documentation (Welding, NDE, Coating, ITPs).
• Oversee fabrication, testing, inspection and monitoring of subsea equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve NCRs and CARs.
• Conduct project audits and prepare audit reports.
• Facilitate Lessons Learned at start-up and close-out.
• Analyze project quality KPIs to drive improvement.
• Support business development with tender/proposal activities.
