Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager – Oil & Gas to join our team in Charlotte, NC.

You will lead technical teams and manage projects involving refined petroleum products, crude oil, and natural gas pipelines, coordinating with multiple disciplines to deliver safe, compliant, and on-time results. The ideal candidate has ABET-accredited degree and 15+ years of engineering leadership experience in oil and gas, with strong project management and client development skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
• 15+ years of experience, including engineering management in oil/gas or related industry.
• 5–10+ years project management experience with formal tools and best practices.
• Willing to travel and hold a valid driver's license.
• Understanding of DOT, API, ANSI, ASME and owner regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management across gas and liquid projects.
• Lead multiple projects, coordinating with support groups to ensure on-time, profitable delivery.
• Provide technical support within an engineering team on large/complex projects.
• Develop concepts through final design and prepare manpower and cost estimates.
• Ensure quality and compliance with codes, standards, and schedules; mentor staff.
• Manage office staffing, budgets, and staff development; assist with business planning.
• Lead proposal efforts with multiple disciplines and subcontractors.
• Support client development and expand relationships with current clients.
