Job summary

Fredrikson & Byron in Bismarck seeks a litigation attorney to join its Oil & Gas team. You will advise and support client teams on complex energy matters, represent oil and gas producers in litigation, and participate in administrative proceedings, M&A, financing, real estate, and title work.

The ideal candidate has strong academic credentials, an ABA-approved J.D., and an active U.S. license with the ability to promptly gain admission in North Dakota.

Qualifications

• Prior legal experience welcome but entry-level considered
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
• Strong academic background
• J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to promptly get admitted in North Dakota

Responsibilities

• Advise and support client teams on energy and oil & gas matters
• Represent clients in complex litigation in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings
• Assist with mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity financing, real estate transactions, and title work
• Manage workload proactively and collaborate with the Oil & Gas team in Bismarck
