Job summary

OXY, Inc. seeks an Automation Specialist for the Permian ORCM Team located in Big Spring, TX. You will install, program, calibrate, and maintain automation equipment to improve gas plant uptime and reduce operating costs. Lead maintenance activities, mentor technicians, and ensure accurate PM documentation with PLC and DCS systems.

You will collaborate with plant planners, support outages, and apply knowledge of PLC, HMI, and process control to optimize operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of oil and gas automation systems.
• Minimum 2 years of Oil & Gas automation experience.
• 2+ years of Oil & Gas Automation experience.
• Expert knowledge of oil and gas processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities and manage maintenance vendors.
• Support automation team in plant maintenance communications.
• Perform corrective and predictive maintenance on automation equipment.
• Provide PLC/DCS troubleshooting and support during outages.
• Mentor and train junior technicians on PLC, HMI and process troubleshooting.
• Ensure PM documentation is complete and stored centrally.
