Job summary

Oxy, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist for the Permian EOR Plants group based in Denver City, TX. The role requires hands-on maintenance, vendor coordination, and proactive system optimization to support critical oil and gas operations.

You will lead automation projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure accuracy of PLC programs and documentation while coordinating with the Plant Planner and Scheduler Team. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas; 2 years in Oil & Gas automation.
• Strong automation background with plant-process understanding and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform local maintenance and manage maintenance vendors.
• Represent Automation in plant maintenance communications.
• Conduct corrective and predictive maintenance on automation equipment.
• Provide quotes for automation and maintenance projects.
• Ensure PM documentation is complete and stored centrally.
• Support plant analyzers (GCs, CEMS, Dewpoint, O2) and outages.
