Job summary

Paraco Gas is seeking an Oil Delivery Driver based in West Haven, CT. You will deliver oil to residential and commercial customers with a focus on safety, reliability, and responsive service.

The role requires a valid CDL with HazMat and Tank endorsements, and a clean driving record. You will perform pre/post trips, basic repairs, and DOT documentation while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Class B CDL experience, preferably in oil/delivery.
• Current CDL with HazMat and Tank Vehicle endorsements.
• Clean driving record per DOT regulations.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, punctual, reliable oil deliveries to customers daily.
• Complete required DOT documentation (pre/post trips).
• Perform leak checks and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Deliver courteous, professional customer service.
• Inspect vehicle/trailer and ensure daily vehicle inspection.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

Oil Delivery Driver

We seek an Oil Delivery Driver who will be responsible for oil deliveries to both residential and commercial customers via bulk/bobtail truck. This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and adhering to industry safety standards.

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Provide safe, punctual, consistent and reliable deliveries of oil on a daily basis.
• Participate in and complete all required industry compliance and company training.
• Perform necessary leak checks and possess basic mechanical skills to perform nominal repairs.
• Provide consistent courteous and efficient customer service.
• Perform all necessary DOT mandated documentation, such as pre and post trips.
• Perform necessary vehicle and trailer inspections as required.
• Ensure Daily Vehicle Inspection is performed.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Desired skills and experience:

• A minimum of one-year Class B CDL experience preferably in delivery of oil or other hazardous materials.
• A current valid CDL (Class A or B) license which must contain valid Hazardous Materials (H) and Tank Vehicle (N) endorsements.
  • An (X) combination endorsement may be substituted for an (H) and (N) endorsement.
  • License may not contain any Air Brakes (L) or (Z) Restriction(s).
  • Clean and safe driving record in full compliance with all DOT licensing requirements.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.
• Mechanically inclined skills (preferred but not required):
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools and test equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to lift in excel of 50 pounds at times throughout the day as well as bend, climb, reach, & rotate as needed. Also must be able to pull a delivery hose up to 35 times per day, through various terrains and during changing weather conditions.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential.
• Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• The work week is Monday to Friday with some Saturday / Sunday shifts as needed due to demand. (We seek drivers with shift flexibility occasional overtime and on-call assignments as needed).
• Availability during Holidays as per the Company Schedule.
