Job summary

Toyota of New Orleans is seeking an automotive technician to perform inspections, basic maintenance, oil changes, and minor repairs on new vehicles at our New Orleans dealership. You will document work, communicate with advisors, and ensure features function properly before delivery.

You will learn advanced repair techniques while shadowing experienced technicians and complete factory training to grow your skills in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of automotive maintenance experience or automotive technician training.
• Dexterity with a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass drug screening, background check, and MVR/insurability review.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, minor repairs, and document work performed.
• Perform oil changes and lubrication work.
• Communicate with service advisor if repairs require more time or additional work.
• Inspect and test-drive new vehicles to verify functions and features.
• Install accessories on new vehicles as specified by customers or dealer.
• Shadow skilled technicians to learn quality service maintenance procedures.
• Complete in-house and factory training courses.
