Virginia Lube Inc. is looking for Automotive Lube Technicians for its local Jiffy Lube locations. Experience in the quick lube industry is but not required as we will train you. Every Lube Technician will receive comprehensive training through our award winning Jiffy Lube University computer based training as well as hands on training. We offer a variety of benefits including paid holidays, and paid time off.

Job Responsibilities
The primary function of a Lube Technician is to safely provide an excellent service experience for our customers. Lube Technicians work with their hands on cars, such as changing oil and filters, adding fluids, checking tire pressure and washing windows. They must also have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as be able to speak effectively with customers and employees. Some of the key duties of this position will include:

  • Check and communicate oil level to other teammates
  • Check tire pressure for proper inflation
  • Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
  • Complete vehicle inspection
  • Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
  • Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
  • Ensure that the service center is clean and presentable

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent .
Valid Driver's License.
17 or older.
Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
Can complete the required computer based training (CBT) modules.

Attendance is an essential function of employment and you must be timely and ready to work your scheduled shifts.

Physical Requirements
The Lube Technician position will require the employee to regularly service cars. Thus, while performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
Use of hands, and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms.
Able to climb stairs.
Able to lift objects up to 25 pounds and transfer from one height to another.
Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
Able to communicate clearly.
