Job summary

Haffner's is seeking an Oil Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, tanks and piping. The role requires driving to sites, documenting equipment, and communicating with customers and dispatch. A NH oil burner license and flexible schedule are preferred.

We offer an hourly, non-exempt position with benefits including insurance, 401k, PTO, and life/disability coverage. Sign-on bonus of $2,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of oil service or equipment sales experience.
• NH oil burner service license required.
• EPA 608 certificate preferred.
• Clean MA/NH driving record.
• Ability to pass company drug/alcohol tests and a physical.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and cooling equipment at commercial and residential sites.
• Communicates schedule and delays to customers and office staff.
• Documents equipment details at customer visits (make, model, serial, fuel type, tests, photos).
• Diagnoses electrical and mechanical issues and explains findings to customers.
• Repairs with replacement parts and tests systems per manufacturer specs.
• Identifies opportunities for additional services and contracts.
• Ensures accurate customer information and signatures after visits.
• Maintains vehicle stock, tools, and safety equipment.
