Job summary

DOCS Health in Baltimore is hiring a Dental Assistant to support our School Based Dental Program. You will prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, assist in 4-handed dentistry, and help deliver preventive and restorative care to students aged 5 to 18 in a safe, friendly environment.

The ideal candidate is a Certified or Registered Dental Assistant with X-ray certification, with chair-side experience and the ability to work with portable equipment and dental software.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Dental Assistant with x-ray certification.
• Two or more years chair-side experience preferred.
• Able to work with portable/mobile equipment and dental software.
• Strong skills with children and pediatric dentistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up and breakdown of treatment room.
• Prepare patient, instruments, and materials.
• Sterilization of all equipment.
• Take/process x-rays using digital radiography equipment.
• Assist in 4-handed dentistry.
• Any other duties, as assigned.

We are seeking Dental Assistants who are passionate about working with children to be a part of our School Based Dental Program in the BALTIMORE City School District. Our program provides preventative and comprehensive dental care to children ages 5 to 18, in a safe and familiar environment. Services include oral health education, routine exams and cleanings, dental fillings, sealants, and fluoride treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with set-up and breakdown of treatment room.
• Prepare patient, instruments, and materials.

Requirements

• Certified or Registered Dental Assistant with x-Ray Certification
• Two (2) years of experience working chair side preferred
• Able to work with portable/mobile equipment
• Familiarity with computers and dental software
• Valid driver’s license, reliable/own transportation, and willingness to travel locally
• Able to work well with children
• Passionate, friendly, and caring individual
• Prior Pediatric Dentistry experience preferred
