What You'll Do
  1. Perform title examinations and review the chain of title for various residential title orders.
  2. Abstract and analyze records such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books to determine ownership, legal restrictions, and verify legal descriptions.
  3. Conduct thorough reviews of foreclosure cases, assessing service of process, liens, and encumbrances.
  4. Examine title records to identify risks, inconsistencies, or legal issues related to foreclosure proceedings.
  5. Review probate and estate cases to assess impacts on title ownership.
  6. Analyze inheritance-related title issues, including wills and trusts, to determine ownership and risks.
  7. Resolve issues like missing or contradictory information in title documentation.
  8. Prepare initial title commitment documents following procedural guidelines.
  9. Review reports for accuracy and provide underwriting interpretation within guidelines, if applicable.
What You'll Bring
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

  • Research and investigative skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and company systems.
