Job summary

MasTec Utility Services in Wilmington, NC, is seeking an OHE Lineman B in training to assist Journeyman Linemen and Foremen and to learn the trade through hands-on field work. You will help construct, maintain, and inspect power transmission and distribution lines while prioritizing safety and teamwork.

This position requires a high school diploma, CDL Class A, and 2 years of lineman experience, with 3+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• 3+ years of lineman experience (preferred).
• OSHA 10 Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution lines.
• Provide technical skills for operation and maintenance of electrical services.
• Connect and disconnect electrical devices on customer facilities (transformers, switches, etc.).
• Route or re-route power lines around existing structures.
• Assist in setting or replacing poles and related tasks.
• Submit Apprentice Program documentation timely.
