The OHE Lineman A assists Journeyman Lineman and the Foreman during training and learning the trade. Responsible for constructing and maintaining poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities, and equipment for electricity distribution. Sets a good example for apprentices by following and teaching safe practices. Supports the Line team and collaborates with other department personnel.
This role operates in a field environment, requiring extended periods of physical activity, including bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and working in adverse weather conditions. Good vision, hand-eye coordination, and color recognition are essential.
