Job Summary

The OHE Laborer/Groundman prepares and cleans construction sites, removes debris, loads/unloads materials, operates equipment, and assists craft workers. This role supports the construction team and collaborates with departmental personnel.

Responsibilities

1. Clean and prepare the construction site, removing debris and hazards.
2. Assist tradesmen in completing their tasks effectively.
3. Identify utilities, monitor dig crews, and assist in manual digging to prevent utility hits.
4. Maintain and clean equipment.
5. Restock trucks with supplies to ensure crews have necessary tools.
6. Seed and straw.

Qualifications

Minimum

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred

• One or more years of experience.
• CDL Class A driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, requiring bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Good vision, hand-eye coordination, and color recognition are essential.
