Job summary

NOV is seeking a Wireline Winch Service Technician in New Iberia, LA. You will work with NOV WFL products, performing maintenance, repair and refurbishment of winches and related gear at service facilities and client sites.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, trouble-shooting ability, and the ability to follow QA procedures. Overtime and on-call work may be required; safety and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years’ experience with the operation and/or maintenance of Wireline Winch units (land and offshore) required.
• Must have experience with the service, repair, and maintenance of Wireline winch units.
• Computer proficiency/experience required - Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Knowledge of rig and completion well site operations is a plus.
• Electrical, Pneumatic and hydraulic background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean, repair, test, install, and maintain NOV WFL Brand products at NOV Service Facility(s) and occasionally customer facilities.
• Communicate product failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
• Provide supporting documentation per NOV WFL procedures.
• Complete and submit work pack documentation in a timely manner.
• Service and repair of customer property items relating to the WFL Aftermarket business unit.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with the QA procedures and departmental work instructions.
• Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner, prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.
• Actively participate in training as identified by the Service Manager.
• Engage in additional job activities as requested by the Service Manager/Supervisor.
• Disassemble equipment to remove parts and effect repairs.
• Request parts as required including fabricated parts, install all parts according to instructions given, knowledge of item being assembled and/or following drawings, as required, including needed adjustments and alignment.
• Function test repaired equipment to ensure it works to full specification.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilize safe work habits.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
