Zusammenfassung

OEG Energy Group is seeking a Welder in New Iberia, LA to perform welding, fabrication and repair on offshore cargo carrying units and related equipment. You will read drawings, fabricate components, and repair CCUs to high safety and quality standards.

The role requires experience with FCAW, MIG and Flux Core welding, plus forklift and crane operation. You will support Gulf Coast operations with attention to detail and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Experience welding and fabrication on offshore or industrial equipment.
• Six months’ experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Experience with FCAW (6GR) welding.
• Knowledge of welding standards and safe working practices.

Aufgaben

• Fabricate and weld new equipment, including compactors, per specifications and quality standards.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on CCUs, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Identify, remove and replace corroded or damaged structural components on baskets, shipping containers and related equipment.
• Repair and replace door hinges, latches and other components through cutting, fabrication and reinstallation.
• Safely operate arc gouging equipment, grinders, hand tools and welding equipment to complete fabrication and repair tasks.
• Prepare, clean and finish welds using grinding or chipping techniques for a high-quality finish.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols for accurate fabrication and welding.
• Perform welding in flat, vertical and overhead positions with consistent quality.
