Job summary

John H. Carter Co., Inc. seeks a field service professional to travel to customer sites and perform repair work on equipment. You will conduct safety analyses, assess conditions, and communicate outcomes to clients and internal teams.

The role requires physical fitness to work outdoors in extreme conditions, strong communication skills, and willingness to work on-call with occasional overtime. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education and/or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in automated valve repair and field service.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and teams; formal documentation is required.
• Physically able to perform outdoor work in varying conditions; able to lift and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and work on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites, onshore and offshore, to discuss operational problems.
• Perform pre-work safety analyses and assess equipment condition for repairs.
• Communicate deliverables and maintain accurate client/internal reporting.
• Ensure safety compliance with company, client, OSHA, and other standards.
• Train/mentor new employees and support development staff.
• Work overtime, weekends, and participate in stop-work authority as required.
