Job summary

Glacierfish is seeking an Oiler/Wiper to maintain the operational efficiency of our vessels. Responsibilities include managing oil filtration, ensuring vessel equipment is maintained, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and will be comfortable working in challenging weather conditions while lifting heavy items.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Oiler/Wiper or 3rd Assistant preferred.
• Must provide 2 recent positive references from previous employers.

Responsibilities

• Work 12-13 hrs/day for 7 days/week in all weather conditions.
• Maintains proper oil and water levels and manages filtration in all propulsion equipment.
• Operates and maintains lube and fuel oil purifiers.

Skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Knowledge of vessel equipment

Experience in harsh weather conditions

Education

2+ years as Oiler/Wiper or 3rd Assistant

Understanding of safety rules in English
