Job summary

IES Safety Rentals is seeking a skilled Field Technician – Offshore Safety / Rentals in Broussard, LA. The role supports offshore projects, operates and maintains safety rental equipment, and ensures compliance with safety and permit-to-work requirements.

Ideal candidates have offshore experience, knowledge of safety practices, and the ability to work independently in dynamic field environments. Willingness to work offshore rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of offshore oil and gas experience preferred.
• Offshore construction, decommissioning and/or Plug & Abandonment (P&A) experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting offshore drilling, intervention, construction, production, maintenance, decommissioning or related operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of offshore safety practices, JSAs/JHAs, permit-to-work requirements and SIMOPS.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety functions and meetings including JSAs/JHAs, safety observations/cards and other required safety programs.
• Understand and comply with safety requirements at all times.
• Safely operate, inspect, test and maintain assigned equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment for field-level work including inspections and calibrations.
• Identify equipment issues and perform basic troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Maintain company vehicles and perform pre-use inspections.
• Maintain availability for work and rotations as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct while representing IES.
• Keep knowledge updated in required training and equipment.
• Communicate with customer representatives and IES management about job activity and needs.
