Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is hiring a Construction & Mechanical Rope Access Technician to lead offshore and onshore construction and maintenance projects. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and client satisfaction across rope access, welding, rigging, and decommissioning activities.

The technician will develop work packs, oversee operations, and maintain strong customer relationships while pursuing opportunities for service expansion. A minimum of five years of offshore experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years offshore and/or industrial construction, maintenance, inspection, or mechanical integrity experience.
• Experience supervising rope access projects and personnel.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, rigging, lifting operations, and structural repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight, and execution of offshore and onshore construction and mechanical projects.
• Conduct all rope access operations in accordance with applicable SPRAT/IRATA and company requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for welding, fabrication, structural repairs, and mechanical maintenance activities.
• Produce drawing isometrics, measurements, and bill of materials to provide to fabrication.
• Manage rigging operations associated with maintenance, construction, and decommissioning scopes.
• Develop work packs, execution plans, and resource requirements.
• Execute offshore and onshore decommissioning activities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services and project growth.
• Participate in pre-job planning meetings, risk assessments, job safety analysis, and post-job reviews.
• Provide routine project status updates to clients and MISTRAS management.
• Ensure all projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and exceptional HSE performance.
• Support emergency response and mobilization activities as required.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and quality management systems.
