Job summary

Oceaneering seeks an Installation Lead Tech in Morgan City, LA to coordinate back-deck rigging operations and mentor foreign personnel involved in the workload. The role requires supervising and directing teams, ensuring safe handling of heavy materials, and maintaining equipment.

You will work with Deck Foremen, Vessel Superintendents, and clients to complete rig moves efficiently. Qualifications include 2+ years in rigging for ships and shipyards or related settings, plus the ability to train

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in rigging for ships and shipyards, manufacturing plants or construction projects.
• Ability to train and assist foreign nationals in back deck operations.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to load.
• Coordinate and direct foreign workers and movement of equipment.
• Set up and inspect equipment and perform repairs as needed.
• Lubricate and maintain drum and cables and make adjustments.
• Oversee rigging to lift and move equipment/materials at the worksite.
• Set up and brace hoisting equipment using hand tools or power wrenches.
• Use machinery to move construction materials, petroleum products, or other heavy materials.
• Coordinate with Deck Foreman, Vessel Superintendents, and Clients for back-deck operations.
