Gulf Island is seeking an Offshore Rigger to perform rigging-up slings, shackles, and related tasks for lifting and moving materials on yard, offshore locations, or offsite sites. You will ensure safe and efficient load-outs and coordinate with crane operators and crew.
The role requires 2+ years of offshore rigging experience, ability to pass physical and drug screening, and strong safety awareness. You will work outdoors in varied conditions and support maintenance and welding teams as needed.
The main purpose of the Offshore Rigger is to perform all job duties involved in rigging-up slings, shackles etc. used to lift / install / move materials (pipe, plate etc.) or structures, equipment or materials either from one location of the yard to another or on Offshore locations or Offsite locations, including load-outs safely and efficiently.

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc. They may also be exposed to fumes (Paint, paint thinners, diesel,/or gas, etc.)
