Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, Louisiana seeks an Offshore PWE Control Systems (I&E) Technician to install, maintain, and manage the Spark PWE Monitoring and Control System. The role includes Firewatch duties, safety oversight, and collaboration with crafts on site.

Applicants should have 2+ years in PLC/DCS based control systems, electrical/automation experience, and be able to pass drug and background checks. Outdoor work in varied conditions is common.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in PLC/DCS based Control Systems.
• Previous experience in electrical / process control / automation.
• Knowledge of pneumatic instrumentation.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Firewatch / PWE Attendant by preparing hot work areas and removing hazards.
• Install, calibrate, commission, and operate Spark PWE Monitoring and Control System.
• Maintain and repair the Spark PWE Monitoring and Control System and end devices.
• Assist with rigging and moving heavy equipment through confined spaces.
• Follow safety policies and report defective equipment.
• Assist in scaffold installation and material transfers to worksites.
