Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is hiring a Protected Species Observer (PSO) Support to assist on an offshore voyage out of Boston, MA. You will be observing, recording, and reporting wildlife on medium or large vessels, with strict adherence to safety procedures.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor of Science degree and related certifications. Strong observational and communication skills are essential for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations during the 7-month project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a PSO or MMO.
• Current with BOSIET certification or capable of obtaining it.
• Strong knowledge of ESA and MMPA.

Responsibilities

• Observe and record wildlife on a medium or large vessel.
• Ensure compliance with NOAA, NMFS, and USFWS requirements.
• Document protected species interactions.
