Job summary

OXY, Inc. in Texas is seeking an Operations Engineer to provide on-platform engineering support to maintain production uptime and optimize operating expenses for offshore facilities.

You will collaborate with Field Operations, Process Engineering and Topside Facilities to ensure safe, efficient operation and timely troubleshooting. Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand P&IDs, PFDs and equipment data sheets
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas processing, including gas-liquid and water-oil separation
• Good understanding of process safety, and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist in operation of production, utility, and safety systems
• Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions to maintain operational integrity
• Collaborate with planners and technicians to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization
• Adhere to Process Safety Management principles and ensure regulatory compliance
• Provide engineering expertise for troubleshooting of complex equipment issues
• Support upgrades, modifications, and commissioning activities for offshore assets
