Job summary

W&T Offshore Inc. seeks an OT Cybersecurity Specialist to safeguard OT/ICS environments in an offshore setting. The role emphasizes risk management, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and secure operations of industrial control systems.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in OT security, strong knowledge of OT protocols, and hands-on experience with major SCADA vendors. Travel up to 40% to shore bases and offshore facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–10 years of OT security, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity operations with at least 3 years OT/ICS experience.
• Strong knowledge of OT protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, BACnet, PROFINET).
• Hands-on experience with IC/SCADA systems from major vendors (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Honeywell).
• Proficiency in network security, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Responsibilities

• Risk Management & Vulnerability Assessment: perform asset discovery and risk evaluations to uncover OT system vulnerabilities.
• Analyze architecture, network traffic, and logs to identify security gaps; develop and implement security controls.
• Infrastructure Hardening: review OT architectures, deploy network segmentation, secure access, and threat detection technologies.
• Incident Response & Forensics: develop incident response plans for OT/ICS; lead rapid response and investigations.
• Security Policy & Awareness: establish OT security policies, access controls, and training programs.
• Asset & Patch Management: maintain OT asset inventories and patching strategies.
• Security Testing & Audits: conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and audits.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Training: align cybersecurity with operations; train OT personnel.
• Project Leadership: lead cybersecurity projects related to OT modernization and deployments.
