Our team is looking for an Offshore Operational Readiness Engineerbased out of Houston, TX.

This is a high-growth potential position feeding into Operations Management and Project Management. The role will see a broad cross-section of the project execution process and be instrumental to performing the work in a safe, efficient manner. During project execution, the successful candidate will be the liaison between the project team and vessel teams, as well as the interface with the on-board client representatives.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' in the oil and gas industry
  • Familiar with industry codes and standards for Offshore oil and gas facility design, construction and installation
  • Knowledgeable in offshore pipelines and heavy lift installation techniques, as well as installation factors and criteria
  • Experience at shore base facilities, fabrication yards, and offshore vessels
  • Previous experience working on a client-operated offshore installation vessel

About the role:

  • Review engineering and planning of job to ensure job is executed in a safe manner
  • Coordinate related interfaces with all departments related to scope (installation, engineering, procurement)
  • Lead subcontracting activities associated with the construction vessel
  • Lead installation vessel qualifications, HR preparation, equipment preparation, and vessel mob / demob
  • Compile all information per project requirements for close-out, including invoice processing and lessons learned

Special Skills/Knowledge:

  • Familiar with industry codes and standards applicable to offshore Oil & Gas facilities design, construction and Installation
  • Knowledgeable in various offshore pipeline and/or SURF installation techniques and understanding installation factors and criteria which might affect the design, costs and schedule for development of offshore oil fields

Working Conditions: Office Environment; Houston, TX plus offshore rotations and site visits on an as required basis during project execution and operation

All candidates must be local to the Houston area and possess valid US work authorization.
