Job summary

Subsea7 in Houston seeks a Mooring Engineer Level II to deliver mooring system design and installation support for offshore facilities such as semisubmersibles and FPSOs. Responsibilities include producing technical documentation, participating in client meetings, and guiding the project from engineering to offshore execution.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in mooring or offshore renewables, an engineering degree, and the ability to work within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree required with professional qualifications as specified.
  • Relevant engineering experience 2–5 years in mooring systems installation or offshore renewables.
  • Good awareness of marine classification and local legislation.
  • Ability to work within time and budget constraints.
  • Professional presentation suitable to the role; strong organizational skills.
  • Houston office base with potential offshore/site work up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for mooring systems installation and related offshore activities.
  • Produce deliverables including design calculations, specifications, procedures and reports.
  • Attend meetings with clients, subcontractors and 3rd parties in a technical capacity.
  • Liaise with subsea disciplines and support mobilizations and offshore work as required.

Education

Engineering Degree in Ocean Engineering/Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
